SDO-Pasay Awards Best Practices, Exemplary SMEA Implementers

The Schools Division Office (SDO) Conference Hall dazzled with maroon and gold as the schools Best Practices and Exemplary School Monitoring, Evaluation, and Adjustment (SMEA) Teams were recognized on October 1, 2019.

Six Best Practices were awarded with plaque of recognition. The roster included: Project READ and REAP (Reinforce and Empower Academic Performance) and Project GORRA e-SBM D-O-D (Google Old Relevant and Related Artifacts) of Timoteo Paez Elementary School; Project GAME sa JRES (Gulayan, Atbp. Para sa Malusog at Energetic na Learners ng JRES) of Jose Rizal Elementary School; Project ReBIRTH (Rekindling Blind Learners’ Interest in Reading with the Heart) of Philippine National School for the Blind; Data-Based Management System in Profiling of Learners of Maricaban Elementary School; Project ZeDro (Zero Drop-out) of Cuneta Elementary School, and; Project Win-K of Kalayaan National High School.

Aside from being conferred in the roster of Best Practices, the SMEA teams of the said schools were likewise awarded Certificates of Recognition for being exemplary SMEA implementers.

Dr. Evangeline P. Ladines, Schools Division Superintendent, highlighted that this is just the beginning of recognizing the Best Practices and encouraged benchmarking among all the schools in the division. She also mentioned that she looked forward for each school in the division to have a best practice of its own.

Senior Education Program Specialist II for Monitoring and Evaluation, Mrs. Flerida S. Pajarillaga, proudly shared that for school year 2018-2019, sixteen (16) schools applied for best practices with twenty-two (22) projects.

The Division Best Practice Committee is composed of Dr. Melody P. Cruz (OIC-Assistant Schools Division Superintendent), Mr. Librado F. Torres (Chief EPS, Curriculum Implementation Division), and Mrs. Pajarillaga.
