Sixty Seven Schools Division Office Personnel renewed their spiritual faith during the annual observance of Lenten Recollection on April 12, 2019 at St. Mary’s Academy, Pasay City. The activity was filled with enlightenment and self- reflection of personnel-attendees which is timely for the Holy Week customary practices.
Focusing on the theme, ”Suffering and Forgiveness, the Recollection Master, Rev, Fr. Rany P. Geraldino, Dean of Studies, Our Lady of Guadalupe Minor Seminary and Assistant Director of Roman Catholic Archbishop of Manila-Educational System(Cluster 7),explicitly tackled the topics in two modules.
“We don’t love suffering. We accept it, and can even be happy with it because it brings forth life. We are people of resurrection.”Fr. Geraldino highlighted during his talk. He also shared varied biblical views on sufferings and ended the first topic with the statement, “The power of God is greater than our suffering, have FAITH.”
The second session focused on Forgiveness @ Workplace. Fr. Rany said, “Forgiveness is the best antidote to address problems”. He stressed that the competitive nature of many workplaces do not encourage letting people off the hook. He encouraged everyone not to hold grudges at work.
