PASAY CITY EAST HIGH SCHOOL PINNED THE 2017 NATIONAL BRIGADA ESKWELA BEST IMPLEMENTER
Pasay City East High School lighted the torch of SDO Pasay City for nailing the award on the 2017 National Brigada Eskwela Best Implementer in the Mega School Category held at the City Coliseum of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan on December 15, 2017.
Brigada Eskwela is a week-long and an annual program of the Department of Education which includes activities that exhibit the spirit of shared community responsibility in providing quality basic education with the theme “ Isang DepEd, Isang Pamayanan, Isang Bayanihan para sa Handa at Ligtas na Paaralan.”
Six out of eight entries of SDO Pasay made it in the 2017 Regional Search for the Brigada Eskwela Best Implementing Schools. It was Epifanio Delos Santos Elementary School headed by Laarni Alejandro / Maybelle Salanio together with its School BE Coordinator Ms. Ellen Hernandez; Kalayaan Elementary School with the leadership of Mr. Rodulfo Tirol and his BE Coordinator Ms. Nora Relaniza; and Philippine National School for the Blind with the guidance of its Officer -In-Charge Ms. Cora Salvador together with the school’s BE Coordinator Ms. Lamie Lebuna , grabbed the Regional Awards for the Elementary Level while in the Secondary level, it was Pasay City North High School M. Dela Cruz Campus led by Dr. Renato B. Mesada and his BE coordinator Ms. Katrina Naldoza; Kalayaan National High School headed by Ms. Emily B. Tolentino and her BE coordinator Ms. Merlie Nazareno; and the Pasay City East High School managed by their school head Mr. Peter R. Cannon Jr. assisted by his BE coordinator Mr. Bello Camacho, successfully did it.
The implementation of Brigada Eskwela in all schools in the Division of Pasay City was supervised by the Division Brigada Eskwela Focal Person Raygienald P. Villacorta – Education Program Specialist II of Social Mobilization and Networking.
Along the execution of the Division Brigada Eskwela, Mrs. Irene S. Tonel – Chief Education Program Supervisor of SGOD led the Division Evaluation Team, Co-chaired by Mr. Raygeinald P. Villacorta – EPS II of Soc. Mob. and their members Mr. Pedro D. Gloriani – Education Program Supervisor in-charge of MAPEH; Engr. Joanne Rose Eduria and Mr. Bayani Litusquen – Project Development Officer II of DRRM. All Public Schools District Supervisors of the Curriculum Implementation Division together with the Senior Education Program Specialists , Education Program Specialists II and the Planning Officer of Schools Governance and Operation Division monitored the conduct of the Division Brigada Eskwela.
It was another milestone for DepEd Pasay for grabbing one of the National awards in the Brigada Eskwela Competition after five years.
